Dr. Roger Newell, Ph.D., B.Sc., M.Sc.

Dr. Newell holds a Ph.D. in mineral exploration from Stanford University, and has more than forty years of experience in the mining industry. Dr. Newell holds a B.Sc. in geology from the University of Oregon and an M.Sc. in geology from the Colorado School of Mines; he is a past president of the CSM Alumni Association. Dr. Newell is renowned internationally for recognizing the potential of the Carlin Trend in Nevada.

Mr. Joel Schneyer

Joel Schneyer is an Advisory Board Member to GMV Minerals Inc. His international career spans over 30 years as an investment banker, financial analyst, metals trader and geologist. He is a former Managing Director in the Minerals Capital & Advisory Practice at Capstone Partners (Capstone Headwaters), Manager of Derivative Finance in the Metals Group of Barclays Bank, and a Senior Analyst in the New Business and Strategic Planning Group at Billiton Royal Dutch Shell. Before commencing on his banking career, he worked as an oil and gas exploration geologist with Celeron Oil & Gas (Goodyear) and IP Petroleum (International Paper), and as a field geologist with the U.S. Geological Survey.


In addition to Joel’s current association with THEMAC Resources Group, he is a:
• Senior Advisor in Minerals & Mining at Capstone Partners;
• Independent Director of MEGA-Drain Corporation; and,
• Independent Director and Audit Committee Chair of THEMAC Resources Group

He earned a B.A. in Geology with High Honors from Colgate University, a M.A. in Geology from the University of Texas at Austin, and a M.S. in Mineral Economics from the Colorado School of Mines. He holds the ICD.D certification from the Institute of Corporate Directors and the FINRA Series 79 investment banking license.
